The Accounts Processor is required to process in accordance with established procedures, accounts payable, receivable and purchase orders using the departmental Financial Management Information System (FMIS) and under general direction undertake a range of routine administrative tasks in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
In undertaking this role, l will support the Department by:
supervising employees workload and attendance records
providing advice and assistance to employees on accounts payable, receivable, purchase orders, travel, credit card and treasury functions
administration for departmental credit cards
check and certify accounts payable, receivable and purchase orders in the Financial Management Information Systems
monitor accounts to ensure they are paid by the due date
provide advice to line areas and other stakeholders; and
other reconciliations as required.

Specific requirements of the role:
knowledge of credit card administration, banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable and purchasing processes
sound knowledge in the use of financial systems for accounts payable, accounts receivable and purchasing functions
sound knowledge of policies and procedures associated with government credit cards, accounts payable, accounts receivable and purchasing
demonstrated high level of accuracy in work
