THE ROYAL COMMISSION
The Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability was established on Thursday 4 April 2019.
The Commissioners are required to provide an interim report by 30 October 2020 and a final report by 29 April 2022.
The Royal Commission will have a presence in Brisbane QLD, Canberra ACT and Sydney NSW. However it is anticipated that hearings will occur throughout Australia. If offered a role with the Royal Commission in other than their home locality, candidates will generally be expected to meet their own costs in moving to the office locality. In exceptional circumstances the Royal Commission may consider limited relocation assistance.
This vacancy is only open to people with disability. The filling of this vacancy is intended to constitute an affirmative measure under Section 27 of the Australian Public Service Commissioner's Directions 2016.
In line with these Directions, if you are found suitable and offered a role, you may be asked to confirm you are a person with a disability during the onboarding process.
The Royal Commission is seeking applicants from a range of disciplines who are interested in employment opportunities which may arise within the life of the Royal Commission.
The positions will be located in Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra.
Positions may become available in the following disciplines:
- accounting and finance
- communications and media
- data and research
- human resources
- information and communications technology
- information and knowledge management
- programme delivery
